I was mildly surprised as I was sifting through past posts that I haven't recorded any songs by Justin Townes Earle; especially since he is the son of Steve Earle and has covered John Prine in the past. His album "Harlem River Blues" is easily one of the best albums of 2010. It follows the trend of folk albums about major cities (he lives in Brooklyn). We've seen him live several times, most notably at Newport Folk Festival.
This particular track is quintessential American folk music. Not much else to say about it, have a listen!
Production notes: recorded in Reaper - guitar and vocals as one track in mono and harmonica overdubbed later. Microphone used was an AT-4040.
