There's really not too much to say about this song. It's a Tom Petty cover, one of the only ones that I can sing. It was described in an article in Men's Journal: "With so many hits, it's hard to pick the best, but there's a dark-horse case to be made for a minor one called "Walls (Circus)," from the soundtrack to the 1996 Ed Burns movie, She's The One. It's an expertly constructed song with a bulletproof chorus and just the right mix of formula and surprise."
The above picture was taken at one of the Royal Albert Hall shows in 2012. I've seen him all over the world several times and am definitely grateful for that. The last time I saw him live a few months ago, he introduced this song by quipping "I'm going to do a request, I don't take requests... this is a song I requested".
To quote his wise words from the song itself, "and if I never do nothing / I'm coming back someday."
Production notes: guitar recorded using a Gibson LG-2 Americana. Recording was done with an MXL960 tube mic and Maudio DMP3 pre.
