One of the benefits of being a musician, is having the ability to use music as an emotional outlet. Given the recent attacks on Paris, Beirut, and all the other hate in the world there is nothing better than looking out the window on a late fall day and playing this song. As eloquent as Kristian Matsson (a.k.a. The Tallest Man on Earth) is as a crafter of complex melodies and lyrics, there is something beautiful about the simplicity of this chorus. I truly do "hope somewhere that troubles will be gone".
Production notes: recorded through MXL960 with 12AY7 tube, Maudio DMP3 preamp. Guitar used was a Larrivee L-03 in open G tuning. Compression and EQ applied in final edit.
