Lua

Sorry about the lack of updates, life has been busy, I even hosted a live charity gig! This is the Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst) song "Lua" from his eponymous album I'm Wide Awake It's Morning. Although it stencils out a somewhat depressing picture of NYC, I enjoy the song because it's all mood. In fact it reminds me of this picture of Manhattan that I took on one of many trips I've made to the city. After all what else could "but Julie knows a party at some actor's west side loft" refer to? For some reason I'm in the right mindset to record this right now and did it in just one take.

Production notes: guitar recorded using a Larrivee L-03.  Recording was done with an MXL960 tube mic and Maudio DMP3 pre.
