Dream a Little Dream

Well how can you beat an old jazz standard?  This has been recorded by so many different musicians, that I wasn't even sure where this was from until I looked it up.  Thank you to Ella who lends her beautiful voice.  A lovely bourbon-infused first take.

The picture above, sunset at Point Atkinson, seems more than appropriate.  "Sweet dreams where sunbeams find you..." indeed.

Production notes: recorded live through tube condenser (MXL960).  EQ applied to make the track sound "vintage".  Vocal/guitar is all one take, intro guitar was recorded later and spliced in.  Guitar is a Gibson LG-2 Americana.  Sound from the pickup is also recorded and mixed into the final track.
